Land Strategies, Inc. is pleased to announce their merger with Sam Schwartz Engineering (SSE). The purchase was finalized on November 5, 2008 and will open up new transportation opportunities for SSE in the Midwest. Todd Fagen, Land Strategies founding partner and now SSE Vice President and Chicago General Manager says, "the merger will strengthen our ability to perform at a higher level. The technical capabilities of SSE in transit planning, pedestrian modeling, roadway calming and safety, management of traffic and construction inspection is top notch and we look forward to a rewarding future." In addition to New York and Chicago, SSE has offices in Newark, Washington D.C. and Detroit-Windsor. Specifics of the deal were not disclosed.
